How to Read an Artist's Impression
Renderings are marketing documents made by people who are very good at their job, and a few habits make them easier to read honestly. Check the camera height — most exterior views are drawn from a vantage point that does not exist, often several storeys up and across a road. Look at what has been left out rather than what is shown: neighbouring blocks, the carpark ramp, the bin centre and the substation rarely make the frame. Note the light, which is almost always late afternoon at an angle and season that flatter the facade. Inside, watch for furniture drawn slightly under scale, and for the quiet absence of doors, air-conditioner ledges and the real thickness of walls. None of this is dishonest, and none of it means the finished building will disappoint. It means a rendering shows the best true version of a place — and your job, before you commit money, is to work out what the ordinary Tuesday version looks like.
When the showflat opens, bring a tape measure and photograph the specifications list on the wall. Those two things tell you more than every image on this page combined.
Visiting the Showflat
Viewings are by appointment during the preview period and run about 45 minutes, covering the site model, the display units, the price list and the balance unit chart. Bring your NRIC or passport, and say in advance which layouts you want to see so the right stacks are ready. One practical note: display units often have doors and sometimes whole partitions removed to make circulation feel generous, and the furniture is frequently scaled down. Ask which walls are not in the real unit, and bring a tape measure if a room feels larger than the plan suggests.
Book a showflat appointment or review the floor plans first.
Get the Price List Before It Is Public
Registered buyers see the price list, floor plan pack and balance unit chart ahead of public release, and get first pick of showflat appointments during the preview. There is no cost and no obligation to register.
